Kate Douglas Wiggins is such that might turn off modern readers for her old fashioned ways of simple and sweet writing. But I think everyone would be better for taking a book of hers and just sitting quietly with it. I need to reread some of her others that are favorites but this one is full of pictures of the imagination. It's beautiful.
