That having depression is like having a demon or having light and dark. It’s like can come out nowhere and you need to exercise. Oh I mean exorcise the depression. She acknowledges this analogy really nicely. The way that Victor says hey, how did you just state an essay. Oh right we are reading a book!! 📖

The way she looks inward and really evaluates the questions and then provides humor. She is honestly happy to candidly explain that her books have inspired her dad to be more open about his struggles. The way she annotates the pages with how mental illness is your own personal journey that varies but it is possible to get to a place where things are better but you can allow for life to happen and support is great.

Japanese toilet lullabies. The weirdest unexpected things and also, the whole catching fish bare hands I have related to too, Jenny. The way that Jenny is off the rails sometimes abd is seriously showing it in how things turn out in both her head and real life externally. She is a lovely lady as she is very open about the experiences and how she sees the silver lining. That was not a book joke… anyway…

She struggles with normal people. She just also has lived through some crazy coincidences and says the most lol things that I chuckle deeply! Tiny babies as the name of a serial killer. Ok, I felt bad for the Japanese couple who had to deal with Victor (the Bass underwear version). This is so interesting that Victor actually says lovely things about Jenny. And yet, he is her support beam and strong authority for her

This is soo funny. The squirrel thing is so relatable. I literally in therapy notice things out there. I was smiling. Someone asked me what I was reading. This book’s snippets are funnily relatable. The whole cat “President” joke really frames that Jenny struggles with a reality that is drab yet she notices the unexpected. It makes the narrative of life- full.My favorite thing is the bold and CAPITALIZED letters

Doing nothing, looking at videos, sometimes find emails overwhelming but I sure press unsubscribe or I read it on Gmail. Gmail has a nice reading system personally, Jenny, writing stuff and having no organization makes sense- I have no photo album system. I have a bit of organized chaos. Reading books is nice but doing it as a job or every day. It sometimes gets me excited but only when I don’t overcommit. Same lol

The meme of the cat with the two Rory’s hilarious!! What an interesting story to clarify. Bizarre few pages. That’s the beauty of this memoir. It dives into the intricacies of people in a way that essays are ok to pass the time? What am I saying?

God, whoa. Slumber party for the weirdos. Man, the writing is so alive and like omg. It’s funny and like observant. Mental facility. Huh? The text absurdly funny. Dude- being in that situation and laughing it out takes guts. The only time I want to jog is asleep but that’s a problem. Ironically funny! The doctor said keep on am eye on it when ur unconscious sleeping. Like this is mildly helpfulmedical advice meh?

OMG. The midnight cat rodeo made me want to share it. The sleep insomnia problem becomes something of fun! The taxidermy raccoon was such a surprise. The love Jenny has for it is a unique thing.I feel horrible that Jenny has all of these disorders but she accepts with acceptance in form of comedy. She collects em lol.The pacing and the way it blends into novel format with dialogue.I read at bedtime reading abt sleep

This is extremely hilarious and extremely tragic but she shows the nuances. The footnotes are extremely funny and Jenny really dives into a vulnerable yet interesting notes that are wacky, unexpected. I found myself laughing and seeing how creative stuff was. And yes, this is more for the adult reader. I appreciate the raccoon. It’s a great memoir that shows how being furiously happy is a way of living! Interesting
