Are you enjoying? Hoping to one day read The Nightingale but the first chapter was too upsetting

Yes it’s okay it’s one her earlier works so some topics of writing I don’t like, but I like it enough but I will be reading some of her later works in the future like the nightingale. I find that sometimes it’s best to read books wren the time is right so so I am sure in the future you will be able to read it
