Hunters takes Eve out to the woods and confesses. She’s in love with her mother, the queen. Hunters goes to kill her, but she fights back. Nova appears and helps to save Eve’s life.

The night of her 17th birthday party goes as planned. There’s a big party, but it’s not as happy as she wants. Her death will be faked and she’ll have to leave Queens bridge and never see her mother again. She sees her Gregory and feels a great deal of guilt about lying about Mekhi’s death.

Nova and the Queen have to deliver a still-beating heart to the Knight and say it’s Eve’s. Eve is his daughter, the Knight is her father.

The Knight kills Mekhi. At home, she confronts her mother and her mother explains the reason why she was giving Eve was the night used a wish to create her, that she had to agree to do whatever the payment was before knowing it. She concocted a plan to save Eve, whom she has to order to kill on her 17th birthday. They decide to go through with it.

They find the castle and break in. They find themselves in the night torture chamber in this house of horrors. They watched the night to torture someone before he spots them. Never reminds him that if he kills Eve, the deal with her mother is done. Mekhi and Eve run away and escape the house.

Nova let it slip that her mother has to deal with the Knight concerning Eve, but even he doesn’t know the terms of the deal

Nova comes out of the mirror as she is preparing to go with MEHKI. She gets on her horse and nova appears on his own horse. MEHKI arrives and Eve has to use her magic to keep them warm, and they began the check of finding the Knight

After she destroys the mirror, her mother catches her. She’s shocked that Nova revealed himself fully formed to her. Eve goes find Sir Gregory’s son Mekhi, a gifted tracker to find the Knight, but he will tell everyone they’re looking for a wolf in the northern territories. She’ll pay him 10 silver pieces now and then 10 when they get home.

Eve sees her mother crying in her room at her, scaling the walls outside. Eve falls, and the next morning she wakes up and tries to uncover what her mother was talking to and finds a mirror. A young man is in it with gray eyes. Her mother appears then, Eve is it supposed to be into this.

Eve tries to get to have a birthday party, but her mother denies it. She goes with Huntress to check on Sir Gregory’s farm, and even Eve’s magic can’t slow the flax. They just have to control it until the end of the growing season, lest it choke their water supply. The Knight’s sentient castle is moving nearby, they see it.
