As an "update" to my book (pg. 96), Bryson seemed to be fixated on the early achievements and events that circulated the early 1900s jumping around from America's progress in aviation to the great works of Herbert Hoover (who had been labeled as a national crisis reliever) to the murder of hundreds of innocent children in school by a bomb set up all by a man who hated taxes that went to fund schools. Digressing much?
