I'm getting a little impatient. It took 100 pages for Durham to hire Maria, which is mentioned on the back cover. Maybe I should have read the original short story.

Great prologue. But that just means, we have to wait after that. Of course there's some tech heavy sections. This has a good rep on a scifi discord (Words in Time YouTuber). Wish me luck. It's not too long.
