Chapters 17 & 18 have me in an absolute chokehold 😮‍💨 The chemistry between these two is off the charts, and the tension FINALLY paying off?? Whew.

Let’s just say the spice is spicing and I am not okay 🥵🌶️ I had to take a minute to cool off because WOW.

This book really said emotional damage and heat, and I’m eating it up.

I NEED to know how Kage is connected to David because my brain will not rest until I figure it out 😭 The tension, the secrets, the way everyone seems tied together somehow — I am STRESSED.

& also… the spice is absolutely spicing 🥵🌶️ This book said mystery & heat and did NOT come to play.

I have more questions than answers right now, but I am fully locked in and flying through these pages.

OKAY the emotional whiplash in this part is REAL 😭 I am officially in the “everything I thought I knew is a lie” stage.

New theory: David was involved with the mafia and fell for her while on some kind of assignment. They found out, and he either ran to protect her… or got pulled into something else.

Either way, I feel like his disappearance is way bigger than it seems.

Calling it now — he’s some kind of mafia king, her ex-fiancé owed him money, and basically promised her as payment before running. Now Kage is there to collect 👀

If I’m right, this is about to get messy real fast.
