This is where I fell behind...

I HATE the crazy admiral who just captured our girl!!!

Before that, I loved her thinking and initiative when the mutiny on V. ship happened. I kind of felt bad for her countryman who wanted to "save her"... LOL:-)

31% in. Still behind. The couple (I do not spoil this to you, but they are very much obvious Miles parents) just got back on the ship.

Despite my fears about this book it is not boring so far.

I love it!!! I am soooooo hooked!!! I have no idea who Miles is, but I can't wait to find out:-)

Miles is one of the best scifi characters ever created. Nothing more :)

By the way did you notice this one has quite a few humorous moments unlike the previous book?

Yeah! Cordelia has a great sense of humor. She is a perfect woman!!!

Did you get to the torture scene? I was biting my nails in fear. This was intense!!!

For some reason I am constantly expecting the quaddies to show up! I miss them...

No torture yet. Everything is nice and rosy where I am now :)

They will, but MUCH later. In one of Miles' books.

Wow! This was a very elaborate assassination! I am both impressed and sad for V... He seems to be fated to loose his honor and to be forever perceived as a monster...:-(((

I finally got to that Admiral and you were right: he is the father of all creeps.

Yes:-) I actually finished this one last night. I was very traumatized by the way they treated Cordelia at home... She was a total wreck because of her own folks, when she should have finally have felt safe...

The "uterine replicators" were fascinating and the application they were used for and how it was handled was very interesting.

I think the question of who the fathers are, apart from the crazy man who was made to do this, opens up a lot of possibilities when it comes to inheritance and bloodlines...

Yes, Cordelia's homecoming was not all roses. She totally did not deserve it.

The replicators were mentioned before: this is where the first Queaddies were created.

I guess I read about them, but had not pictured them so vividly in my head... This was pretty detailed and impressed itself on me...
