Grief shared, I think, can produce two outcomes. Either you bind yourselves together and hold on for dear life, or you let go and up goes a wall too high to be crossed.

Giedre Dear Dolors, I think of you often and entered the platform today to check if you were still on it. I'm so happy to see that you are, and that you are still writing reviews of the books you read. And, it turns out we are both reading the same book right now, although I have only started it a couple of days ago. I'd love to catch up properly one day, if you have the time, but I see that Goodreads has removed the messaging feature, which is a pity. Sending you a big hug from Madrid. Do let me know if you ever stop by. I opened a bilingual bookstore here together with my partner a little over a year ago, which has brought me closer to the world of books in some ways, and has distanced me in others. I'll spend some time going over your reviews from the past years to get some new ideas on books that I'm missing! Un abrazo, Giedre

Linda I am curious to read your thoughts on this novel.

Oh dear Giedre! Isn’t it magic that we’re exchanging words while reading this marvelous rarity of a book?
How glad I am to hear from you, truly. And even more to discover that you and I have been reading Sybil’s words at the very same time. What could be more magical than that?
I’d love to catch up properly as well. It’s such a pity that Goodreads has removed messaging, but I’m delighted to know you’re in Madrid, building a bilingual bookstore; what a beautiful thing to do. A dream! Please stay in touch; we can exchange emails and get properly caught up whenever you have the time.
I would really, really love to hear your thoughts on this novel. My mind is reeling with feelings for it. I utterly and totally loved it. I am undone and wanting more!

Well, Linda, you must have seen that I totally loved it. What an emotional trip… and what a memorable character I’ve met in Sybil. Memorable...simply a memorable character, and a memorable novel.

Giedre It's so lovely to hear from you, Dolors! I've just read your lovely review of the book and we should definitely comment it when I'm done. I'm sending just a short message now, hoping that you will see it on time, as it turns out I may happen to be in Barcelona next Tuesday, February 10th, and only now it occcured to me that it may be a good chance to finally meet, if we can work out our schedules, and of course, if you'd like that. I'm leaving my email in hope you'd drop me a message and we can take it from there: giedre dot pavalkyte at gmail dot com. I look forward to hearing from you!
