It's a rare book that works itself into my head enough to enter my dreams. Last night, this one did...unfortunately! There was a 3am hour of me lying in bed, unable to sleep, because every noise was surely something coming to get me. Hey, I live in the middle of the woods, don't judge me! (Luckily I kind of like that creeped-out feeling.)

Despite the fact that not a whole lot happens in the first 100 pages, I'm thoroughly engrossed in this. Kind of regretting buying it in e-book form, as it's one that I'm going to want to share. Things are just starting to get creepy, and if the remaining half of it is as good as the first, I'm already regretting that it has to come to an end...even though you're told the ending(?) in the opening. Good stuff.

I have that happen sometimes when my books enter my dreams. You have encouraged me( or frightened me) with this book I just started. I live in the middle of the woods to, so I must be prepared to be scared. yay! I bought this book at a small book store.

The thing is, it's not overtly scary, really... there's just that oh-so-popular "sense of creeping dread." Which, in truth, is far more effective than outright horror. There are some horrific moments, but it never delves into the realms of trash-horror.
