I can see why this converted so many people to the faith, I almost wish I wasn’t born Catholic so that this could be the book that converted me- so powerful!

“God has given us two eyes, two ears, two hands, and two feet, so that if we lose one of these members we will still have the other left. But He has given us only one soul, and if we lose that we have no other with which to enjoy eternal happiness” (78)

Seventh motive to worship God is the fear of death. “The judgement of man is not the same as the judgment of God” (65)

This book is really insightful and well written, would recommend

“ When I seek my God, I seek not corporal grace, nor transient beauty, nor splendor, nor melodious sounds…But I seek a light exceeding all light, which the eyes cannot see; a voice sweeter than all sounds, which the ear cannot hear, a sweetness above all sweetness, which the tongue cannot taste; a fragrance above all fragrance, which the senses cannot perceive”
