“Half brother” risk reveal. Since it’s too early and author has created great tension, I’m not buying it.

Ok, so ending “solved” everything with occult explanations from evil aunts trying to raise the devil (queen to be the daughter Bea), performed memory spells on everyone, and Croft men are cursed to be creatures 1x a month. Epilogue spin makes it like all Blackthorns were crazy from CO poisoning. Guess reader gets to pick what’s real - beasts or all nothing.

So…he’s a devil monster? How are they going to wrap this up in less than 30 more pages?! Answers needed about missing dead grandma, how her mom died, her memory issues, her relationship with Ronan, resolve her daughter situation, the pharmaceutical research question, the missing other people/bodies, are they half siblings, the Croft family curse….SERIOUSLY.

Her gaps in memory…I just remembered this author wrote Pen Pal (FMC doesn’t know she dead). I am suddenly very sad for how this can end.

This whole Croft human trials in church basement thing came together super quick without enough investigation. Should have drawn out a bit more to make reader invested in the research.

Immersive reading. Already hoping I love this since it already has the hallmarks of JT Geissinger’s beautiful writing. Nice multicast narration on audio, too!
