Someday I hope to have just a fraction of Eve Sedgwick’s intelligence. The introduction to Epistemology completely blew my mind, and I have endless respect for the assiduity, the fastidiousness, that Sedgwick brings to tackling the discourse of homo/heterosexual definitional lines and the dialectic of the closet in the Western canon.
