Things are starting to get crazy in the Garrick apartment. Mr. Garrick seems more controlling, and Millie grows suspicious about what is really happening to Wendy. A quote that stood out what "People like Mr. Garrick don't make mistakes. They make plans" (154). I think Millie will uncover a major secret soon and put herself in danger trying to help Wendy.

In the first part of The Housemaid's Secret, Millie takes a new housemaid job but quickly realizes the house is dangerous. Wendy, the woman of the house, is kept locked away, and Millie senses abuse and control. She thinks, "There are some houses that don't feel like homes. They feel like cages," and decides she can't ignore the situation, saying, "I promised myself I would never look away again."

Hi, Georgia! I'm glad to see you are reading the second book of the Housemaid series! I just recently read it and I loved it! I was thinking the same things you are when I started reading it. I hope you enjoy the book and I'm curious to see what you think as you read more!

Hi Georgia! I have always heard such good things about The Housemaid series! I recently watched the movie and I really enjoyed the plot! Mr. Garrick does not sound like a good guy! I agree that Millie will uncover a secret! I hope you enjoy reading this book.
