I hate to say it but if you hadn’t been jerking her along for so long this would’ve been easier to get through

So frustrating that the fmc has sooo many actual reasons to be mad at the mmc and yet she’s mad at him for smth that obviously didn’t and wouldn’t happen.

“I can’t tell you anything bc reasons but just promise me we can be together (wink wink) this summer I swear I won’t let you down (even though I already technically have in that arena and every other)” and we’re supposed to be eating this up like she is? Absolutely not❤️

This shouldn’t be a dual POV for the simple fact that nothing in this man’s narration reveals any real justification for the awful hot and cold way he’s treating the protagonist, and yet the readers as well as the fmc are supposed to be won over by this pathetic horndog display?

The amount of emotional whiplash happening is pushing beyond the limits of my disbelief
