There's a point to the pastor being portrayed as so gluttonous. Consuming more than he needs. Drinking to stumbling. Talking of trying to save food for later but devouring all at once anyway. Good Stab did the same thing. He wasn't hungry when he gave chase. He had to bleed himself.
