I like how Stephen tries to immerse you into his books by adding a ton of detail, to try to make it seem like you are there, dealing with pins and needles in your legs.

"This time Brady wonders what Freddi would say if he told her what life was like for him when he was a kid. That was when he killed his brother. And his mother covered it up." (King 48)

This is an example of how this book will get really creepy out of nowhere, I really like how it keeps you on edge.

"He heads into the kitchen, where he cooks himself a full breakfast. As he's sliding a couple of hard fried eggs onto a plate already loaded with bacon and toast, he stops, startled.
Someone is singing.
It's him." (King 32)

I think this shows how the detective is just getting use to retirement, but it is going to be interesting to see how he deals with Mr. Mercedes.

"Augie was shoved to the hard left, stumbled, recovered, and was push forward. A flying elbow struck his cheekbone just below his right eye and that side of his vision gilled with bright Fourth of July sparkles". (King 11)

I think that this is a very good way of writing something that is easy to imagine happening.
