Alright a few chapters in and I'm fairly sure michael is a new character to the series and im Not supposed to know him. Theres been a lot more expansive worldbuilding this time around, esp with how early in the book we are, which im really enjoying, but Man is this a fantasy written by a man in the early 2000s. Not every woman needs to be attractive and if someones skin is described as 'creamy' again, im gonna puke

still a bit confused on michael and his whole deal and why the book is talking about him like we already knew him, but im rolling with it. Murphy my beloved just showed up finally and I love her. interesting plot happenings have started happening
