i gotta stop giving olivie blame a chance bc wth is this writing 😭 i seldom often mark up books but i feel the need to take a highlighter to every weird sexual comment—but then again, half of every page would then be yellow. i.e. "Isla, object of a love so richly milk-sweet and cream-fat it sometimes felt erotic" (opening page of the book, talking about an 18 month old).
