the dick can’t be that good

Again, not a big fan of this book, but I am a fan of these characters being brutalized. It makes things more interesting.

twist of last book —> dead mom is alive but mom evil
twist of this book —> surprise sister that was being accused of bring evil is evil…. righttt
also i realized that the mc+ml have very similar speaking voices. The only thing differentiating them is when the title card says whit.
Also so funny he’ll take a bullet for you but rob blind

The writing is so repetitive OMG. The book is so much better when the leads are not in a romantic relationship, but even if this was purely just a mystery that would not fix the issues with this duoligy 🥀

and you did it at my birthday dinner :/. also looked up the word “brush” shows up 40+ times. it’s used like brushing against lips and stuff the author needs more variety. also brush against lips evokes odd imagery and certainly not one of a kiss 😭… i wish this wasn’t a romance jesus. the stakes are so high and so far 64bpages still romance.
