This book is terrible…

What is this sudden “it’s all because of my medical bills” plot that wasn’t mentioned before and dropped as suddenly as it’s been added? This book is also so long, so many unnecessary scenes could have been cut and it’s starting to give “I didn’t know which plot to put so I’m using all of them!”
