A hundred pages in and I am bored. Not much is happening and it feels tropey—traumatized cop lets her personal experience potentially compromise an investigation of a missing teen. I am going to struggle through this one, I think.

I haven’t read much but so far I don’t really understand what is happening. The FMC is driving on her own, away from her husband, because he kicked her out? Who was the funeral for? Did she have a miscarriage? Who is Hap, her grandpa? Guardian?
