Maybe when I read quicksilver I was in a different mindset? Both of the main characters are getting on my last nerves. Just in the way they described each other and interact with each other. I do however still LOVE Carrion Swift the magic system and a lot of other things about this series so I’m really hoping at some point in this book Saeris and Fisher can stop being such lovesick puppies.

So far some of the writing is a little cringey. Just in the way to two main characters describe each other, for some reason Fisher can only described Saeris as “fucking beautiful”. Idk it just doesn’t seem like great writing to me. It’s been since Nov. of 2024 since I read Quicksilver so there’s a lot that I’m still trying to remember and piece together. Hoping it gets better because I LOVED Quicksilver.
