Crazy how Heathcliff fully just dipped after he and Catherine get a little separated and then when he just shows up three years later (after doing who knows what and trying to do who’s knows what back at Wuthering Heights) and Catherine just accepts him as if they’d never fought
I mean Nelly doesn’t seem to be a big fan of her but her intentions towards Heathcliff are obvious even in front of her husband

Cathy doing a quick turnaround after spending time with the Lintons makes sense to me for some reason. Like there was only a certain amount of time before she, already described as incredibly vain and princess-like, recognized that she could be treated better if she assumed the position as a haughty lady of the house. However it’s still very sad to see Heathcliff’s reaction to losing his father and only friend

Mr Lockwood is honestly such an annoying tenant no wonder the residents of Wuthering Heights are already fed up with him. He also compares Heathcliff briefly to one of Heathcliff’s dogs from the onset so I’m not inclined to love this guy.
It seems like Catherine was the one person who brought a more interesting and entertaining nature to this now very dull environment and she’s missed by all
