That’s not to say it’s not based in the Bible. It’s just more spiritual than other theology I’m used to. It focuses more on the cultural perception of a male God and how that changes the way we view all of scripture, as well as the way we perceive gender roles in a modern context

I have to return this book soon. So I’m just reading the most important chapters. But it’s been good. The flowery prose Ruether employs, as well as the history and culture of other religions in relations to Christianity discussed, makes the points being made seem less than Biblically sound. But when you actually look at what she’s saying it’s pretty solid. Although I would like if it was in scripture more
