questlove was the PERFECT person to write this book. you can tell he genuinely loves the show (for example, knowing dialogue off by heart!) it's such a pleasure to read when someone has written about a topic they obsessively love <3

(nick cannon's preface "i knew soul train could be my entry into hollywood" is kind of the opposite though, he seems kind of self interested...)
