And another thing, this is set in what sounds like modern times but there’s a big lack of use of technology that’s a choice which doesn’t feel very realistic and this is reading like a Wattpad so far with a girl being shy and has no boy experiences and is a hopeless romantic, but I’m hoping it gets better

The academic year starts in January, but homegirl’s describing autumn weather… okay and the only thing that’s “dark” about this book so far is the overly described outfits, suicides, and deaths. If the book is considered dark and Gothic, I’m expecting more depth with the world building smh.
