I have been enjoying listening to this as an audio book. It’s rich in story & language. It is an 18.5 hour audiobook quite the listen. I have run out of time for the library loan so it’s on pause for now. I am enjoying the characters & the setting. The references to Scottish life & customs from the time are making it a very interesting & enjoyable read- will get back to it on paper - when my reservation arrives.
