It’s so early on, but so far, I’m really enjoying Circe’s character. Her family’s disdain and being treated as near-invisible clearly weighs on her heavily, and the normalisation of cruelty all around her is so strong, it is really cool to see her going against that default path, even in small ways.

I started reading this a while back and then forgot about it. I’ve only just started this second time and am already remembering why I had enjoyed it so much!
