I'm at the point where I'm struggling to get through this. Not much has actually happened over the first half of this book. The author has a creepy obsession with describing breasts in great detail, especially on underage girls. It gives me such an icky feeling that I've stopped looking forward to the reading I get done during my long commute.

This book is so horrible that I think I'm going to be giving up on fiction for a very long time. I'm not sure I can read any more of this crap.

I find Murakami so hit and miss. Sometimes I love him, like Norwegian Wood and Hard Boiled Wonderland, but other times I just find him insufferably boring, as was the case with Wild Sheep's Chase. I couldn't even finish that book, and yet some people say it's his best novel ever. Go figure.

i read a wild sheep chase a few years ago on the (very strong) recommendation of a friend and hated it. none of his books seem very interesting to me at all.
