I already hate Vronskiy and pity Anna. She so deperetely trying to do the right thing but he is an unhinged stalker who actively sedices her and wants to start an affair or that she divorces her husband. He doesnt care about ANYTHING execept.his own satisfaction. Ugh disgusting.

I found the pacing of their relationship quiet fast considering that the book has almost 1000 pages also her poor son he seemed so lost

I really can't believe how selfish Anna is. I expected to sympathize with her but nah! Why is she is so disgusted by simple personality attributes of her husband? For me, he seems quite nice. No I pity him and Sergej the most. My hatred towards Vronskiy skyrocketed when I read about him torturing a horse and breaking its back at the end >:(

I LOVED that chapter. Great forshadowing how his relationship to Anna will work out. He is too reckless and immature. I dont think they could ever be happy together because of their horrible personalities alone. Also funny how he is starting to bald in his twenties lmao
Yeah the way he admired the horse was similar a bit weird but now I get it. It should represent the way he sees and treats Anna. wow...About his bald head... I was so shocked too, I even thought I misread or misunderstood the Russian word and reread it 3 times XD hahaha serves him right.

Slightly offtopic but the description of appearance confused me at some other point with Stiwa. He was described as handsome and ‚füllig‘ in the same sentence. Were overweight men considered especially atractive back then?
hmm... scheint die Interpretation des Übersetzers zu sein. Wenn man die russichen Worte wort-wörtlich übersetzt dann ist er gutaussehend und "rotwängig" als "gesund"Ich schätze er müsste einfach ein volles strahlendes gesicht haben. Nicht umbedingt übergewichtig. Ich stelle mir zb sowas wie Nathan Fillion for^^

Ja das geht eher so in die Richtung Komplexität also wie seine Haut wirkt. Die Übersetzung find ich dann nicht so gut. Generell nicht so smooth glaube ich
Ja den hätte ich nicht mit füllig beschreiben haha scheint aber wesentlich älter zu als Stiwa. In meinem Kopf war echt so ein dicker kleiner middle aged Mann 😭
