OK, if this had been done as a separate book with different characters, it'd have been much better. But this is just gives a completely random and somewhat unwanted twist to the series. I don't want to read about Allie being a fairy and getting yet another admirer. I want to read about her running from Trimarks, avoiding the destruction of the world, and deciding whether she likes Beck or Junior more.
