The hobbit is the best. It’s so charmingly written. It feels like your quiet British grandfather is telling you a story you’ve been begging to hear. So witty and pleasant and fun to read. Been rewatching the LOTR trilogy lately (extended version only, of course) and it’s been a really nice week of Tolkien. The hobbit is a beautiful book.
