Eh not the best ended very cringe, I understand his character was basically mental growth and that he has to prioritize himself to take care of his “family” in eh oh he became a father to Cami and then to Esme while the book ended on his birthday and Cami asking him to adopt her. So yea cute.

Cal is going to rehab & he found his FATHER there lying to everyone that he is sober, & has been for 6 hundred & sum days (which is a lie). Cal & Declan think he’s doing it for the will and the 6% of the shares will be to him. Crazy that the old man is such a butthole to have Cal & his son in the same room & AA meeting.

Cal went to rehab. Lana spoke to Iris & Rowan. Iris about the whole will thing. Rowan since she decided to work for him at dreamland as a culinary consultant and goes to dreamland a weekend per month. Lana decided to take the job and do that to see if it’s closer for her to open her own bakery spot.

Lana knows the truth about the inheritance & Cal’s reason to selling the house.She also thought he was going to rehab due to the inheritance (not true),Cal decided to extend his inheritance until a buyer buys the house to go get rehab at Arizona.From the other books I’d say that, inheritance has put a toll on all the brothers & their partners alike.I get grandpa wanted to be happy but plan being secret?Not good.

Cal asks for forgiveness However opening up to Lana that he will make mistakes & she has the power to be mad & release her anger towards him just not shutting him out is what he asks for. He wants to be involved w. Her & cami’s life. Also he brought Cami & Lana to Dreamland to visit his family & the park.Towards Cal’s b-day,he was panicking but later morphed into calmness seeing how Lana & Cami fit well w.his fam

After many back & forth, they decided to become friends. He got beyond drunk due to not attending Cami’s graduation that he fell into an alcoholic spiral. He got better once they established their “friendship” even if their connection is thriving. Lana’s house has asbestos so she & Cami lives in guesthouse w. Cal. He is now going to prove his love to Lana since they both r lonely.

So they decided to sell the house by remodeling it. Cami is developing a soft spot to build boats w. Cal & he was open to do it with her. He also kissed Lana while she was making cupcakes, which ended horribly since he regrets it & drinking until hangover. After that he avoided her by going to get food however since the whole town hates him his options are very limited. He so volunteered for the strawberry festival

Cal has developed self-Loathe & insecurities which he copes w. Alcohol. Lana found him in attic drunk & told him to quit that in house. Cami was accepted to a private school, but Lana can’t afford the tuition, modifying the house to sell, & opening her own bakery. It bothers me that she shows she has a soft spot for Cal that he even notices & abuses which that pisses me off. She’s a strong woman but submissive…
