There have been some lovely chapters today delving into things with visual effects, Andy Serkis and his portrayal of Gollum, and Howard Shore’s breathtaking score.

Ch4 onwards has delved into casting & filming!

Ch1-2 covered the buildup: previous attempts at Tolkien adaptations, Bakshi, etc, and earlier Jackson projects. Truly wild to see the invisible strings of the film industry wind back around as they did for him.

Ch3 was HW and the battle to get the whole thing financed. The idea of this massive book being smashed into a single 2-hr film is insanity.

Kudos to Ian Nathan for the scope of this book.
