So I'm struggling with the romance genre lol. I've been trying to expand my reading pool outside of just fantasy. Horror for Halloween was great, romance for Valentine's day is a struggle. Most have obnoxious double standards and woman who are uninteresting, hypocritically catty, and self-absorbed. I'm up for recommendations if anyone knows of a romance novel that might be male friendly...Otherwise I'm giving up lol

I'm not great at book recommendation thing and I have no idea which romance books may be male friendly... but I'll try. which sub genre do you wish to read? paranormal, historical, contemporary?and if you could give me more on what you don't like or like, it would be great.

I'll try anything besides historical, but I'd probably lean more towards paranormal.
dragon actually cover is really bad but I think you'll like this heroine. she is not a whimpering idiot or catty.on the edge this is something cross between urban fantasy and paranormal romance. world building is good and as I remember both the heroine and the hero were likable.
slave to sensation this one I'm not sure whether you'll like or hate. but worth a try, as it was a very good series and interesting world building.
