How does it keep getting more brutal? It’s not as visceral but it’s no less painful to hear certain pieces of the world building. I see where the plot is going mostly, but such a rough listen at times.

Still love the world building but the elements that make it hard for me to listen to the audiobook just increased. Oh this is going to be a rough read for me

Love the world building and the story is interesting but parts of the world with how the fulcrum treats having kids between origins hits something for me that just makes me deeply uncomfortable. And while I can acknowledge it’s meant to make you feel that way, that’s not the things I come to fantasy for. All that to say possibly not for me
