I really enjoy this book so far, not only because of the way the book is written (a diary/journal way), but because the speaker is very funny. He is very innocent and going through high school (which is not easy and is very different because I am going through the same things). I am a little confused though, only because he doesn't want to give away who he is to us readers.

All of Charlie's friends and his sister graduate in this part of the book. But i'm really disappointed because Charlie thinks that because he loves his friends, he shouldn't say his feelings towards them. He only agrees with them, and it frustrates me that he does that.

In these chapters all of Charlie's friends are getting ready for the end of the school year, and graduation. Since Charlie is a freshman, and he hung out with seniors. I find it really sad that all his friends are leaving him, but there's really nothing to do. He's putting his feelings aside for the people he love because of their big moment.

This part of the story was very dramatic. Charlie plays a game of truth or dare with his friends, and incidentally kissed Sam instead of Mary Elizabeth. This starts drama between the group and Charlie.

In these chapters, Mary Elizabeth and Charlie begin to date which Charlie did not necessarily agree to. Also, Charlie's sister finds out she is pregnant. I feel bad because Charlie isn't really happy with Mary Elizabeth. Though he did go on one date with her, she assumed that they were already dating.

From what I have read, Charlie has lived a very traumatic life with his family, but he still acts very innocent. Christmas and Charlie's birthday have passed, and Charlie visits both sides of the family. His family is very different from Charlie and the only relative that he connects with is his Aunt Helen, but she passed away.
