I can’t believe it’s been a year.

So Sigoso III has killed Rosarian IV, but why though? And how? If the poison burns everything it touches no cup will be strong enough to hold it, unless it’s made from the same glass the vial is made of right? But then again there’s the bolt of cloth and the dress so how does that fit in? I’m so intrigued.

What I don’t understand is why Sennera was lying about the whole thing? No way they’re still standing with Sigoso after what happened. There are Wyverns on the roofs and their population took a plunge. Why on earth still support him? It’s insane.

Aubrecht is going to go, isn’t he? I really hope he does. Marosa is in a nightmare. I didn’t think I’d be rooting for a prince saving the princess in the tower but here we are.

I wonder if the Rose Eternal is the same ship in the epilogue/the end of Priory

I looked quickly through the “After” chapters and there’s no sign of Estina! No! I want to go out with them not stuck in the Palace of Salvation with Marosa. But there’s an Aubrecht POV so I’m looking forward to that one. If they’re only calling him the Red Prince on account of his hair then it’d be a bit disappointing. I honestly don’t know why I want him to be evil so bad

But on a more serious note, I love this world and how immersive it is. I felt like I was there too at the Golden Pear. The sense of unease from the moment the herald had shown up to summon the people to the Plaza Oderica to the confusion of the actual announcement and the outright panic when it all dawned on them and the whole escape sequence was so good!

They are, quite literally, cooked.

I need to see a whole timeline of the events of all three books and also a family tree for every noble house because this is getting ridiculous (in a good way).

P.S. poor Orentico Feyalda! He went out disguised as the king to get roasted.
