i don't have a more eloquent way to put this, so forgive me: there's something so untouchable about didon's life. i can only hope to have a love so everlasting that it is strengthened in death, but much like nora ephron's memoir (which was, ironically, my first book of 2025- and this will be my first of 2026), i feel disconnected by an economic gap. p. 210: "eat the $50,000".
