While the theory and research provided is informative, I can barely stand this writing. Eg: "October 1991 Bangkok was to be filled with birth, with newness and anticipation for the birth of a new world." =/ I wish it were an isolated, one of a kind quote, but slug through it I must.

Finally gets to the point by chapter 3. And now I'm feeling physically sick by how horrible people are. Even the state radio announcements he mentions are similar to those in the 1994 Rawandan Genocide case. I think I have to set this one aside for a while until I can bring up the courage to finish it.
