I really wanted to read this - premise is great and I LOVE that the main character is a 40 year old woman in perimenopause! I read other reviews - the lack of contractions makes it hard to follow. I understand some of these characters are old may have a different way of speaking, but it’s everyone and doesn’t allow for distinction between characters when I’m reading. Maybe I’ll come back to it another time.
