The beginning was a bit of a slog, but now that we’ve gotten some exposition the story seems a touch more interesting. Not sold so far, none of the characters have grabbed me yet.

The book is starting to pick up pace. The attack of the Trollocs was really good, I liked how mysterious they seemed. Rand and Moiraine are the only characters I have any real attachment to so far. I will continue to read, but I’m not convinced I’ll finish this book on this read.
