A solid effort for a debut novel. I desperately wanted to enjoy this book and but it was too dark with little-zero pay off.

I don't enjoy reading about domestic abuse, and stereotypes of the submissive, weak-willed Asian woman.

Nonetheless, 3/5 for engaging, effortless writing style.
