The beginning of chapter two you see some humor. You see this humor when Sir Francis is going up to his office to find a new man in his space. Before you see him realize that his morning routine is a little different. After Sir Francis death you realize that he was over rating about him getting fired. I thought is was interesting to her people talk about Barlow and how weird his job is.

at the end I When Aimée is dead Mr.Joyboy and Barlow were left with nothing. When Mr.Joyboy was talking Barlow you can tell that Mr.Joyboy really felt feelings for Aimée. You can find the satire in the novel when Mr.Joyboy and Barlow was left with nothing. I could not find the find the moral the Waugh was trying to bring across.

I thought it was surprising when Amée was writing the letter to the Guru Bromen. Amée is writing all these complaints. The complaints are the most obvious things like, she thinks her house is going to be un-American with Dennis. from the letters you can tell Amée is really nïve. there should also be no reason for her to ask about her one love.

When dennis was talking to Mr.Schultz about the rase I realised that Barlow used the power of sympathy. He got denied because Mr.Schultz change the subject. From this talk you realise that the pet beral business is not so strong. The poem that barlow "writes" for Amée I realised was quite inappropriate because he is saying how he wants her.

I think it is interesting that the Guru Bromin is to men. It is pretty funny that Mr.Slump is saying that Mr.Joyboy is good sun by helping around the house. I think that he has to help around the house because he lives in the house. Its also funny that Mr.Slump does not like poetry. He is a news writer so he must think that poems are not as interesting as the news.

Amée found a new side to both of the guys she likes. It is kinda like the typical hollywood drama. From this would think that she is going to go with Mr.Joyboy. but since this is like hollywood I am thinking that she will go with Dennis. Since he is un-American and the opposite of her. I would think that they are opposites they will attract.

In the beginning of chapter 5. you are described how the funeral is going to look. From how the book describes it you realise that the Whispering Glades is a very nice place and only the rich can only afford it. but when Barlow starts to open the door he feels a connection with Aimée. I found some humor from this. I thought it was funny that barlow meat a girl at a funeral.

from this chapter we meet Mr.Joyboy. Mr.Joyboy I realized was pretty weird when he would talk to Aimée. he would refer to her as her last name every time. When he did this I made me feel some uncomfortable. I learned that Mr.Joyboy was a professor for upcoming morticians. I did not realized that becoming a mortician took so much work and school from this chapter.

From chapter 3 I have noticed that a morgue is a scam. From her telling stories to Barlow so he would pay more. I feel that the mutations are playing on the grieving emotions so they get more money. I also learn a new character named Mr.Joyboy. I learned that he is good with bodies. I think we will meet him more throughout the book. I also think he would become a partner and teach Barlow some new tricks.

The Did not like the beginning. I got confused when they would talk about places and things. When they would talk they would talk about a random thing that I had no clue what it was. I like how they are the story is based in old Hollywood. The reason I like it was that you don't really read about old Hollywood, It's a change of plot. I found the humor at the end of the book when Mrs.Heinkel was talking on the phone.
