These are handcuffs made in the 1800's (roughly) how on earth would she be familiar with them? So why is she surprised that she doesn't know the brand?

Completely unprepared for the attack? What did she think he was going to do? She goaded him, backed him into a corner and she seriously didn't read his body language and get he was close to breaking? Worst behaviour profiler ever.

Wait she is sad she doesn't have her FBI badge yet at the start of the book she was happy to throw it away to exact revenge?

Holy cow is that her interviewing technique? And she wonders why everyone is hostile to her.

And when they can't play the American card there is the Duke card.

The "she is American" card for every weird thing she does is getting old. I can't believe everyone just accepts this as an excuse for her ignorant and weird behaviour (weird to them).

Yes we get it the 1800's was a ducky time for women's rights. Why is Kendra so shocked every single time someone is sexist from this period?

I thought she was a criminal behaviour specialist not a forensic specialist? Maybe the two roles are entertained in real life?

How has she not been thrown out of the house by now? I may not be an expert on relationships between aristocracy and servants in the early 1800's, but I am pretty sure telling the Lady you are supposed to be attending to shut up is a massive no no.
