Interesting tale of the great thief who stole a famous painting and was the progenitor for Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes.

Not as good as Operation Mincemeat. Also, he bought into Herbert Asbury’s Gangs of New York as actually true. That book from 1929 was just nonsense.
