It truly disturbs me how much fame excuses morality… especially when it comes to exposing young children. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish this book. I could be misunderstanding the author’s intentions, but it seems as if there’s a lot of glorification of bad behavior. Birkin was a woman abused by older men who then failed to protect her own children from the same harms. Why is this glorified???
