Summary
Pudge just broke up with Lara. After Alaska's death he was sad and disconnected, even weeks after her death. I feel bad for Lara because she keeps trying to make him feel better but pudge keeps ignoring her.

I feel sad for the colonel and pudge because their friend Alaska died and they helped her leave by distracting the eagle. They think it's their fault that she died, but when she saw the truck she didnt swerve.

I liked how the author wrote " 5days before" and so on, he was counting down the days before Alaska died

The author described the barn and how Alaska was smoking and how they were all sitting and panting after running from the eagle. They have just pranked the warriors and I could see their faces clearly because of the descriptions given.

I thought it was very sweet how the Colonel's mom invited pudge and Alaska for thanksgiving dinner. Alaska doesn't ever go home for thanksgiving and it was so sweet how she finally felt as if she had a family again.
