Story is good. Things I'm NOT liking= a bit too much violence against the heroine and the hero and other agent Han and being painted inept too much. If a former Special Forces/current Agent keeps getting caught off guard???? Maybe he needs more training OR a new job.

Molly knew **** wanted her in hysterics to motivate Derek to do what he asked. But even knowing it, she couldn’t seem to stop sobbing. “Molly? Molly, baby, hang in there,” Derek said. “I’m coming, okay?”
“That was her pinky, Mr. Waterman,” **** told him. “I will break another of her bones every ten minutes until you and the other man who was with you at my estate arrive. Alone.”

He’d already distracted her—hell, distracted them both—right here on this couch, for an hour or so, then distracted her again while they took a shower. But now she was determined to focus on the evidence Jon would be getting from her condo. She wanted to go, but there was no way he was taking her anywhere near there.

Derek had never seen anyone so beautiful in his entire life. He knew he was walking on dangerous ground here. One wrong step, one wrong word—hell, one right word—and he was going to start kissing her and never stop.
“I was wondering if you’d still even be here when I got out.”
“I couldn’t leave you.”
“I’ll bet you wanted to, though. Considered it. Withdraw because we had a moment.

Let’s stop,”he said, quickly helping her up.
“No.”She shook her head. “I’ll be okay. I just can’t see very well.” With one eye almost swollen closed, he wasn’t surprised. But she hadn’t stopped, hadn’t complained, had kept his grueling pace for the past two miles.
“You’re amazing,”he told her, meaning every word.

“I’m sure the boss will let us have our turn with her after he’s done,” Henrico said to the other guy. Molly choked back a sob. She was hungry, thirsty, tired and ached all over. The thought of these men touching her was almost more than she could handle. When they opened the door to her room, Henrico reached down and squeezed her buttocks.

Why the hell would someone take Molly?” Jon murmured to no one in particular. For the second time in twenty-four hours Derek had to completely divorce himself from his feelings. There was no room for panic. There was only room for the task at hand. Finding the bastards that took Molly and getting her home safely.

She was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. All the lecturing he’d given himself on the drive here completely vanished. Molly was alive and he had to taste her. He slipped one arm around her small waist under his jacket and threaded his other hand through the hair at her scalp underneath her long brown braid. He backed her up against the door frame and brought his lips down to hers.

He really hadn’t touched her at all since the time he showed up at her condo 3 years ago—drunk—and they’d had sex. He’d been inebriated, he’d needed a friend. She should’ve just made a pallet for him on her couch and let him sleep it off instead of taking him to her bed and having the most wonderful night of her life. Except Derek had been gone when she woke up the next morning. And he had never brought it up again.

Startled, Molly spun around, then immediately regretted it as she found herself trapped between the evidence table and Derek’s hard body. Oh, dear lord. Was she supposed to be able to come up with actual words right now? Something coherent?
